This event is being organized by the African Development Bank (AfDB) in collaboration with partners of the Africa NDC Hub and the secretariat of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC Secretariat) and its Regional Collaboration Centre for West and Central Africa (RCC WAC Africa).

The seminar will be held on the margins of the UNFCCC Africa Regional Climate Week from 5th to 6th September 2023 in Nairobi, Kenya at Sarova Stanley Hotel. For the event schedule download the attached document.

The Event Objectives are:

1. Promote understanding of the ETF and its modalities, procedures, and guidelines, and their implications nationally.
2. Identify challenges, needs, and priorities of African countries, relating to their readiness for the implementation of their ETF commitments under the Paris Agreement.
3. Discuss the steps AfDB, in collaboration with UNFCCC and its RCC WAC Africa, would take to help address the identified challenges, needs, and priorities.
